Very rarely do I have a fresh week with open bobbins and open spindles. This is one of those rare weeks. It is kind of nice though since I finished everything up last week and was able to go on a schmini vacation with my husband.
So here I am on Monday, which is my birthday. I had plans to spin up some tort angora fiber for a fox that I am currently working on for my niece. But for my birthday my grandmother got me some gorgeous Suri Alpaca from Wisteria Suri Alpaca Ranch in Taylor, TX. I have dealt with Suri once and it wasn’t the best experience. But this Suri is gorgeous, it’s so soft. So needless to say I threw one of the samples she sent with the fiber I got. I did throw the tort angora fiber on too. Along with the two bobbins that are going I also started some dark chestnut angora kit fiber onto my Turkish spindle.
So that is what is going on this week. I will probably be working heavily on the tort since I need it for this project that is due in the beginning of July. I’ll post photos when I finish this little guy.
