Episode 2:3

Where did July Go!!!

This year is zooming by! In June, I had my first craft fair of the season, and it was an unforgettable day. The sun was shining, a gentle breeze kept things cool, and the street buzzed with energy from a lively street show and a fun duck raffle. Best of all, the street was filled with wonderful people. I brought my new spinning wheel and enjoyed spinning during quieter moments. The questions and comments from passersby about my wheel and my craft were so engaging—I loved every moment of those conversations!

Get ready for two exciting craft fairs at the Community House Lawn in Milford, New Hampshire! Join me this weekend on July 19 and again on August 2, both from 10 AM to 2 PM. Expect a vibrant day filled with handmade treasures, perfect for finding unique gifts or treating yourself. Can’t make it? No worries! All my creations, from cozy fingerless mitts to charming crochet pieces, are available at lazyspinsterstudio.com. Come by or shop online to support handmade artistry!

I’m thrilled to announce my new line of up-do bucket hats, designed for those of us who rock a messy bun or ponytail but still want stylish sun protection! These extra-large bucket hats are crafted to fit comfortably over almost any up-do, so you can keep your hair up and your eyes shaded. I’ve got three ready to go, with more in the works, made from either a soft, durable cotton/hemp blend or eco-friendly recycled cotton/poly yarn. They’re lightweight, travel-friendly—just toss them in your bag—and perfect for summer adventures.

Find them alongside my regular-size bucket hats at the Community House Lawn craft fair in Milford, New Hampshire, this weekend (July 19, 10 AM–2 PM) or at lazyspinsterstudio.com. If you visit the fair and need a custom fit, I’d love to create one just for you!

Rabbit of the Month

Meet Annie, a stunning Vienna-marked Opal Angora with a tan coat adorned with blue and gray rings. Her striking gray eyes, flecked with blue specks, are sure to captivate. Born here in Hollis, Annie was sadly returned to us due to aggression issues during her youth. With patience and time, she has blossomed into one of the sweetest bunnies I have. Annie’s journey shows how understanding and care can transform an animal’s behavior as they mature. Her luxurious fiber is a shop favorite, and I’ll be restocking it soon!

Life Outside The Lazy Spinster

Shows/Movies

I recently finished A Discovery of Witches on Netflix, inspired by Deborah Harkness’s All Souls Trilogy. While the acting and visuals weren’t top-notch, the captivating story completely won me over! It’s now added to my ever-growing TBR list, and I can’t wait to dive into the books.

Music

Rock and roll has been my heart since childhood, with memories of my dad blasting it while working in the garage or on his truck. Ryan Jesse is an incredible independent singer who just released his debut album, Vices and Virtues, this past week (July 18, 2025). Free from any label, his music speaks straight to the soul. Jesse’s powerful vocals hit soaring high notes and deliver a distinctive growl that sets his songs apart, leaving you craving more. His raw transparency about his struggles with addiction and embracing his hillbilly redneck roots adds depth to his artistry. You can find his music on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer

Books

I just finished The Shepherd King Duology by Rachel Gillig, and it was a fantastic read! I personally enjoyed One Dark Window more than Two Twisted Crowns, but both books were captivating. I highly recommend this duology to anyone looking for a gripping, atmospheric story.

That’s all I have for this month. I hope to see you this weekend. If not drop by my studio at lazyspinsterstudio.com.
