Three Forks Tunisian Shawl

This beautiful Tunisian crochet shawl I found at Montana Crochet, https://www.montanacrochet.com/. This woman does a beautiful job with not only her designs but also her hand dyed yarn. This yarn is stunning and hard to get. I have yet to get my hands on a skein. But her patterns are always available.

Anyway back to the shawl. This shawl as stated in the title is Tunisian crochet. Yes, I am on a Tunisian crochet kick right now. I have chosen to use a yarn that was given to me and it’s pretty nice yarn and I am loving the colors in it. The yarn is Loops and Threads Kai; color Mint Chip. This shawl is a pretty quick work up.

I will say this about the pattern. The woman who wrote this pattern, wrote it to be used with three different colors of her yarn. I am using one single skein of yarn so the instructions were a little confusing at first. They key is the shawl is worked left to right, increasing to center then decreasing to the end. Now this shawl is about 84 inches long (from beginning to end). So you increase for 42 inches then decrease for 42 inches. There is no real row count, so you just have to measure along the way. Also every other row you are adding an increase (I’m not to decreasing yet, but I’m assuming it’s the same deal). I just use a stitch marker to mark the increase rows.

Overall I am super pleased with the look of this shawl and I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
