I have niece number 7 due this coming June. My sister-in-law got to pick what blanket she would like for this baby. She chose a spike stitch blanket. I have never done one, but as I work on this I find it to be addictive to work on. I can’t wait to see how this turns out and see a little baby snuggled in it.

** May 11 Update**

This baby blanket is working up pretty quickly. I’m not one to enjoy single crochets, but I do look forward to the spike stitch, so it’s kind of turned into this mental game for me. I hopefully will be half way done with this blanket this week. I have about 4 weeks left before me beautiful new niece makes her presence into the world.
